Acupuncture comes from the word Acus Pungere in Latin. In Latin Acus means needle and Pungere to stick. The name acupuncture was giving by the Western civilization. The knowledge in books comes from the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM originated from the way of looking to nature and live it self. Also known as the Tao. A way of thinking that started years ago. Time past by and changes occur in the history of China because of the different dynasties who ruled over the country. Luckily a lot have remained in the practices of TCM. The 5 elements are used to diagnose the body, mind and spirit. The five elements are: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. The understanding of the elements helps us to understand the paths of the imbalanced constitution of the unique self in a period of time and space. These paths are connected with the meridians of the body. An energetic network that connects the past, the now and the future. Acupuncture points are the manifestations of the cohesive ways and this energetic complexity. These points are deep in the body to feel with patient, serenity and trust. Inserting a needle in these acupuncture points can help the obstructed points to flow in its behaved ways of the trusted being. The needles that are mostly used nowadays are from stainless steal or titanium with a silicon coating for easy use and pain free feeling. Back then they used sticks that were made out of bamboo, bones, gold, silver and stones. Some Native Amazonians and other tribes over the world worked also with these methodes for medicinal purposes. The knowledge are mostly kept in their tribes. In my sessions I try to relive this ancient knowledge with the ongoing experiences and expertise of the now.
